We are excited to offer 4 positions to applicants who are creative, hard-working, critical thinkers interested in gaining skills in patient care, echocardiography, research, leadership and process improvement. Our fellowship values integrity, diversity, teamwork and innovation. The cardiothoracic anesthesia and critical care faculty are an experienced group of educators and leaders from diverse backgrounds with expertise in a wide array of clinical and research arenas. The UCLA fellowship experience draws on our institution’s high-acuity, complex pathology, and multidisciplinary approach to patient care to provide our trainees with unparalleled educational opportunities. We create a collegial environment for our fellows to learn adult and pediatric cardiothoracic anesthesiology, transesophageal (TEE) and transthoracic (TTE) echocardiography, structural heart disease, percutaneous and minimally-invasive approaches to cardiac surgery, and pacemaker and ICD management. Echocardiography is a vital component to fellowship training, and we emphasize a broad application of cardiovascular imaging for complex clinical decision making, procedural guidance, and research. At UCLA we strive to train future physician leaders. We look forward to reviewing your application. |
