SCA will be a global leader in comprehensive professional development that promotes the provision of safe, high quality, cost -effective medical care for patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
MISSION
The mission of the working group is to help guide the successful establishment of enhanced recovery after cardiac surgery programs.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this working group is to produce expert opinion on principles necessary to implement an enhanced recovery after cardiac surgery (ERACS) program across a wide range of practice settings, from community-based hospitals to large academic centers.
PARENT COMMITTEE
The sub-committee reports to the Clinical Practice Improvement Committee.
MEETING
The sub-committee meets at least once per year.
COMPOSITION
The sub-committee is composed of the Chair, Vice-Chair, Parent Committee Chair, Board liaison, and members-at-large.
TERM
Members may serve a maximum of two consecutive terms unless presidential approval is granted for a third.
