ECMO Working Group
STRATEGIC PLAN GOAL: RESEARCH
SCA will be regarded as a key supporter and promoter of research related to cardiovascular and thoracic disease.
The mission of the working group is to become a leader in multi-center adult ECMO trials in the United States.
The purpose of the working group is to:
- Review current best practices in adult ECMO (from the published literature and expert opinion) and develop clinical guidelines for important aspects of clinical care.
- Foster multi-center collaboration for adult ECMO clinical trials in the United States and Canada.
The working group reports to the Quality & Safety Leadership Committee.
The working group meets at least once per year.
The working group is composed of 2 Co-Chairs, Parent Committee (QSL) Chair, and up to five other members. A Board Liaison may be appointed at the discretion of the President.
Working group members serve for a term of two years.
