Conference Available to Fellows:
We have a robust educational program available to our fellows that begins with our summer-long “echo boot camp” every Thursday morning from 6:30-8:15 am. Starting in September, fellows have two dedicated lecture series on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 6:30-7:15 am focusing on cardiothoracic anesthesiology and TEE respectively. These lectures are given by members of the CT anesthesia division as well as experts from other specialties. Our pass rate for the NBE exam has been 100% for the past 5 years. Fellows are encouraged to attend departmental grand rounds as well as CT surgery M&M on Thursday mornings. All fellows are encouraged to attend and present at one conference during the course of their fellowship, with most choosing the annual SCA meeting.
