Conference Available to Fellows:
Our entire didactic lecture schedule is focused on fellow education and is available to fellows via a web-based calendar. There are cardiac and thoracic anesthesia faculty and/or surgical faculty present at all lectures. Every Tuesday from 3-6pm is dedicated fellow education. This is a combination of clinical didactics, echocardiography and our progressive research curriculum. On Wednesdays fellows have grand rounds from 7-9am. From 7-8am is Cardiac Surgical High Risk Conference or Morbidity and Mortality Conference and from 8-9am is Cardiac Surgical Didactics. On Thursdays fellows have perioperative echo didactics from 3-4pm. Speakers for all didactic sessions come from our department and we invite speakers from different departments and institutions. Below is a two-month example of our didactic and lecture series.
