After much consideration and discussion, the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists (SCA) has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Annual Meeting & Workshops and Thoracic Anesthesia Symposium for April 17-21, 2020, in West Palm Beach, FL. The decision was announced on March 16 in an email and posted on the SCA website from SCA President Stanton K. Shernan, MD.

If you are registered for the Annual Meeting and/or the Thoracic Anesthesia Symposium, your registration will be automatically cancelled, and you will be refunded. You do not have to notify us.

Please allow 60-90 days to receive your refund. If you have questions, please send them via email to info@scahq.org.

As a reminder, SCA does not reimburse airfare or other costs, but many airlines are offering liberal cancellation policies.

“I hope you will join me in praying for the safety and wellbeing of each other, our families, friends, and patients as we transition through these challenging times. I am confident that this too shall pass, and that we will all join together again in the near future” - President Stanton K. Shernan, MD.

SCA extends their appreciation to the Annual Meeting and Thoracic Anesthesia Symposium Planning Committees and faculty, as well as the entire SCA Management Team.

And a special thank you to you our attendees. These meetings could not happen without you. We hope to see you next year in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, from April 23-28.

Thank you for your patience as we work through this unprecedented public health challenge.
