Journal Supplement to Disappear

Beginning this year (2005), the SCA Board has decided to make the scientific abstracts for the Annual Meeting available "online" only. This follows the lead of many other professional societies, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and the International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS). In addition to saving the lives of some trees, this will save your society more than $20,000 per year in production and mailing costs. The abstracts will be available on the SCA website (http://www.scahq.org) as of April 15, 2005. As always they will be "indexed" (that is, you can cite your abstract in your CV). There will be computers and printers available at the Annual Meeting for you to print whichever, and however many you wish to have.

As we move further into electronic media, we will be relying more on electronic notifications and publications. If you have not indicated your email address to the SCA office, or if you have changed your address recently, please send your correct email address to: sca@societyhq.com.
