Essentials of TEE Practice

(Workshop limited to 150 registrants)

Educational Objective This session will provide a survey of the essential techniques of intraoperative TEE practice. Both didactic and video breakout sessions are included. Participants in this program will achieve an understanding of 1. the principles and practice of 2-D echocardiography for assessment of ventricular and valvular function and 2. how to harness Doppler modalities to enhance intraoperative TEE examinations. As this program is designed to complement the saturday afternoon session "TEE for the Practicing Anesthesiologist", attendance in this morning session is encouraged for those attending the afternoon session.
