Kevin Johns receives The John Hinckley Lifetime Outstanding Service Award

The SCA is pleased to give the second John Hinckley Lifetime Outstanding Service Award to Kevin F. Johns, Director of Meetings and Conventions. Kevin has been in the hospitality field for over 35 years. Eleven years were spent in the hotel industry as a Front Desk Manager, Banquet Manager, Convention Manager and National Sales Manager. He also owned and operated his own restaurant. Kevin joined Ruggles Service Corporation as a meeting planner from 1981 to 1989 and returned to Ruggles in 1997 as the Director of Meetings and Conventions. He holds a BA from the College of William and Mary and has earned continuing education certificates in meeting management.

The award is given to a non-anesthesiologist who has made an outstanding contribution to the society. John Hinckley, founder of Ruggles Service Corporation, SCA's management firm, was the first recipient of this award in 2005.
