Application Process:
Applicants with an interest in adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology who will successfully complete their Anesthesiology residency training in an ACGME accredited program prior to beginning their fellowship are encouraged to apply. Applicants should provide a letter of introduction, curriculum vitae, evidence of medical school graduation, all medical licensure exam scores, anesthesia in-training examination scores, and a minimum of three letters of recommendation from senior cardiac anesthesiology faculty who have worked closely with the trainee. Selected applicants will be invited for a formal interview. All applicants must register with the San Francisco Match at www.sfmatch.org

Echocardiography Instruction: 1 month comprehensive intraoperative TEE rotation (required); 1 month additional comprehensive intraoperative TEE rotation (elective);  intraoperative TEE for all cardiac cases; TTE elective available
Critical Care Rotation: 1 month CTICU
Formal Course Work Available in: Arranged to suit the interest of the fellow
Maximum Time in Non-OR Activities: 4 months out of 12 total months
