Application Process:
Applicants that have successfully completed an Anesthesiology residency at an ACGME-accredited program and are interested in Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology are encouraged to apply. All applicants must first register through the San Francisco Subspecialty Match at http://sfmatch.org  Registration with SF Match begins November 11, 2016 for applications for the Academic Year 2018-19. The Centralized Application Service (CAS) is provided through the SF Match. The CAS application form will be available online in your SF Match account profile. Selected applicants will be invited for a formal interview. Interviews will be held from January until April 30, 2017.

Funding:

Dedicated Research Time: 1 month or equivalent of one month over the course of the year.
Echocardiography Instruction: Extensive transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography instruction.
Critical Care Rotation: Two or three 2-week rotations with dual-boarded staff.
Formal Course Work Available in: Cardiac and thoracic OR.
Maximum Time in Non-OR Activities: Rotations in invasive cardiology, perfusion/extracorporeal, cath, EP labs.
