Online Clinical Ultrasound and Echocardiography (ON-CUE)
The SCA offers a new initiative in Clinical Ultrasound and Echocardiography education, SCA On-Cue, providing comprehensive learning, and conducted entirely using internet-based learning. If you are an existing SCA member you are entitled to the member discount price.
Course Information
Level 1
The On-CUE Level 1 comprises subjects 1-4 and provides training to a moderately advanced level in echocardiography and in vascular access, ultrasound guided nerve blocks and includes other miscellaneous ultrasound applications such as lung ultrasound and FAST. This would be suitable for most medical specialists and especially suited for those practicing in the critical care area.
Level 2
The On-CUE Level 2 comprises subjects 5-8 and provides training to advanced diagnostic level. This would be suitable for cardiologists, cardiac anesthesiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, ICU physicians catering to cardiac patients or other specialists with a significant cardiac practice. Please ensure that the On-CUE Level 1 course has been completed before enrolling in On-CUE Level 2.
Level 2 Fast Track
The Level 2 Fast Track program is intended for practitioners with existing echocardiography experience or qualifications who wish to update their clinical ultrasound and cardiac diagnostic skills. This option involves the completion of one subject taken from On-CUE Level 1 and completion of all On-CUE Level 2 subjects. Entry is subject to proof of experience or examination.
